Submitted by MeKnows on 08/06/2009
One way of honoring the significant existence of a person is through an inscription about their life – biography. In this inscription, the readers are made aware on the person’s past life that may consist of their wondrous deeds, leadership acts, achievements and even failures. The most common type of biography includes the essential details about the person such as: the name, birth date, birthplace, the significant families and relatives and other personal details that completely describe their identity.

Technically, a biography is defined as the story of a person’s life. It could be written in a shorter way or the longer method. For short biographies, they only tell the basic details as mentioned earlier in this page. The longer biographies contain more important facts and stories about the person.

The main objective in writing a biography is to infer the momentous events that have had occurred into someone’s life and investigate each detail to understand their vagueness.

There are different approaches to writing biographies; yet, more authors favor the sequential structure. Often, the author uses primary and secondary sources of biographical information like: reference books, history books andother biographies
