Transformers toys are big sellers whether it's the original toys from back in the 1980's or the brand new toys from the upcoming movie Dark of the Moon. If you've got a stash of transformers toys in the loft and are looking to sell then you might be able to get rid of them and make some money all on ebay. First you need to know what you've got on your hands. Do you know the difference between a G1 MIB or an action master. Any toys from the original transformers series are called Generation 1 or G1 Toys. If you have a boxed toy then that will tell you the name of the robot and whether it is a Decepticon or Autobot. If you have a toy in its original box then hold on to it as they are the most sought after. If however you don't have any boxes and all you have is a box of loose toys then you will need to either talk to a transformers fan or head for the internet. I have been putting together a database of transformers characters which you can use to identify loose toys which you can find at http://www.scifi-toys.co.uk/transformers/. Once you know what bots you've got you need to find out how much they're worth. To ebay. A transformer is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Ebay can give you a pretty good indication of a toys worth if you keep an eye on it. The buy it now price on some toys will give you an indication of a toys worth but also keep an eye on the auctions to see what price they end up at. To sell your bots you will have to take some pictures which will give a good impression of their condition but a good description will also help. You should include whether the toy has loose or tight joints, any yellowing to the plastic and whether the toy is complete or not. If a toy is complete then it will have all it's weapons and accessories, no missing parts as well as the instruction booklet. A toy that is MIB will be in mint condition in its original box. Since the G1 toys were so popular there have been reissues in the last ten years. It wouldn't be difficult to mistake a mint condition transformers toy for one of the reissues as the packaging is identical on some but you will be able to tell by the date. All of the original G1 robots have Hasbro and the date stamped on them somewhere. For more info on transformers and to buy toys visit scifi-toys.co.uk
