How To Make The Most Of Your Cheap Holiday In Sousse

Submitted by sebastian bos on 07/30/2010

Choosing to go on a self-catering holiday is a fantastically flexible option which can save families, couples and groups of holidaymakers a lot of money, meaning they have more to spend on activities, tours and nights out. The beauty of self-catering holidays is that you can choose to eat in your apartment and cook for yourself so you save on restaurant bills and you usually pay a lot less for your accommodation too. There are lots of things to see and do (and buy!) in Sousse so going self-catering is a great option but as there aren’t many self-catering accommodation options in Sousse we had a little search around for you and put a few down here to help you to pick the right one for you.

For families looking for simple, affordable accommodation, the Jinene Resort is right up your street. It’s just 200 metres from the beach and 3km from the noise of the Sousse nightlife so you don’t need to worry about children being kept awake all night. There’s an outdoor pool with sun terrace and sun loungers and an indoor pool and lounge bars inside. Children have their own play area but there are also two tennis courts, table tennis and volleyball facilities, a pool table and mini golf to keep them entertained. Adults will love the sauna, hamam and fitness room and the poolside bars so you don’t necessarily need to leave the resort unless you want to explore the area a bit more!

Les Maisons de la Mer is a fantastic budget option but without scrimping on comfort or fun. Couples, families and groups will all be welcomed here and for such good prices you’ll probably be back next year too! It’s located in Port El Kantaoui but not far from Sousse itself and it has its own beach club, three outdoor swimming pools for adults and children, a diving centre, tennis courts, a fitness centre, an art gallery and two attraction theme parks! Nearby you’ll find Les Maisons des Jardins with its stunning gardens complete with fountains and a theme park and you can stay here from just £250 per person for a week.

Another option for those wanting to go self catering is to privately rent a house or apartment for a week in Sousse. You can find apartments online or ask your holiday operator if they know any companies in Tunisia who could help you to find your ideal Sousse accommodation.
