How to Make Homemade Submarines

Making homemade submarines is easy but there are a lot of things to consider as there are different kinds of submarines. There are some submarines which require scuba gear to be worn and some that don’t.  You must have a proper education regarding the aquatics and the engineering of these submarines. The steps below are designed to educate on how to make different kinds of homemade submarines.

Step 1
The wet submarine is the simplest type of homemade submarine. These are the ones which are designed to be more transportation based but have lesser or no breathing apparatus. With these kinds of homemade submarines, you will need to wear scuba gear as you will be wet all the time. The parts are easy to find and cheap to buy.

Step 2
Just like wet submarines, semi-dry homemade submarine are also pretty simple. They just like the wet ones however, you don’t have to wear scuba gear at all times. It has air bubbles making allowing the passengers to breathe freely. What makes is different from the wet submarine is that it has a oxygenation system which would require the submarine to be in its upright position at all times. Buying the parts would also be easier as there are abundant spare parts in any hardware stores.

Step 3
The dry submarines are really great alternatives for the submarine enthusiasts who cannot afford to purchase a submarine. It works perfectly but you will also have to feel the atmospheric pressure which hinders you go lower depths. Another downside of this submarine is that it is really hard to exit while under water; but it can be done.

Step 4
The atmospheric submarine could be the best that you can build. You will need no scuba gears, unless of course, if you want to get out from the submarine under water. And since it is the best, it is also that most complicated type of homemade submarine as it must have an oxygenation system and pressurized cabins. The good thing about this one is that you can go down for up to 350 feet and feel like you are in a real submarine. And due to the complexities of this homemade submarine, you will need to dedicate more time in developing your plan or you can simply buy available plans for sale in the market.

The important thing to remember is that whilst it is perfectly possible to build your own submarine, there are like with anything under the water, many dangers, if in doubt always seek professional assistance.
