Once of the funniest events in the year; children love it and adults like it, is of course Halloween. On this day, costumes are very important especially for children in order to enjoy an event which happens only in a year. Costumes can really make the festivities more fun that is why it is important to have a good one. The fact is, you can have a really good costume without spending a dime, or at least not spending much.
Here are some ideas on how to make a ghost costume:
Step 1 The very first thing you should be worried about is to cover the person absolutely with the costume you are making. There are a lot of ways to do it; you can cover yourself with a white sheet. If you don’t have one at home, just go to the thrift store and find chose one, there is usually several different fabrics available at a low cost. One thing you should be sure of is to make your costume fall just a little above your ankles. You must have two arm holes as well.
Step 2 Cut the appropriate holes in the fabric you bought. However, you must be sure that the holes for your eyes are big enough for you to see as well as the arm holes to fit your arms. You must give your costume a frayed effect; remember, it is a ghost costume you are making. Together with you long ghost costume, you must also wear a sweat pants which has the same color as your costume. Just to unify the effect.
Step 3 You must put considerable amount of baby powder in your hands as well as on your face or you can use make up if you have some. If you want a real ghost look, you might choose to have a “dead” look. You may even surround your eyes with black or green color just to project a more realistic look on your face. Be sure to check you that you don’t have allergies when using any cosmetic products.
Step 4 Hooded shirts will also be best worn. You can hide away your hair and you can feel warmer because at this time of the year it can be very cold outside!
Step 5 Now, you need more embellishments. You can have chains to be carried on your shoulders or put around your neck and your legs to project a scarier look than others. Just make sure any additions you make, still allow you to see clearly and walk freely.
