All it takes is a little time, money and studying for you to be well on your way. One thing we are always sure to point out is that every state has different real estate licensing rules and regulations, we have no control over those, they are set forth by that states Real Estate Commission, which is the party that oversees the real estate industry in your state. We can however, tell you how to get your real estate license in some very simple steps, which we have listed for you below: How to Get a Real Estate License: - Check with your local Real Estate Commission for all of the current licensing requirements.
- Fill outa licensing application and send it to your states Real Estate Commission, you can usually get their mailing address and/or fax information from their website.
- Locate an accredited real estate school in your area or online(state permitting) and schedule to study for your required pre-license hours. Typically 40 hours but does vary from state to state.
- Schedule a real estate examination date with the commission. You will need to pass the state exam with a score of 75% or better(depends on the state).
- Pay your licensing and application fees to the commission. These usually range from $25 to $150 depending on the state you live in and what they are charging you for.
- After receiving your license, verify that you either do not have any post-license requirements or that you have completed your pos-license requirements so that your license will remain active upon renewal time.
