Gnats are really annoying; they can hinder you from enjoying the time you want to spend outside your home. Usually, when their time comes, they just bite anybody at will, that is why it right to get rid of them when you find them in your backyard. Fortunately, you have plenty of options to be used on how to get rid of gnats. Below are just some of the most effective ways on how to get rid of gnats. Take time to read them as they can surely be able to help you.

Before you make your first move, be sure to have the following;
•    White vinegar
•    Bowls
•    Liquid dishwashing soap

Step 1
Gnats belong to the same class as with mosquitoes (diptera) so you can find them in the same habitats. Locate such habitats to find and eliminate the with the least time and effort. They usually stay in places where stagnant water can be found like cans, bottles, damp leaves and stagnant lakes. Even the damp soil is a good place for gnats to live in; don’t take any chances and look for their possible hide out.

Step 2
When you know where these gnats thrive, you must wear a protective suit or apply insect repellent so that you will not be bitten. If you have small children be sure to have them secured in a mosquito net and or apply repellent for babies.

Step 3
You may protect your own backyard or household by simply sprinkling non-toxic or natural insect repellent like CedarCide before you carry out a removal operation on these insects.

Step 4
You may screen your doors and windows so they are not to be able to enter your abode and disturb you and your family. Choose the finer screens because usually, gnats are smaller than mosquitoes and can easily enter coarse screens.

Step 5
Now, finally, you can mix plenty of vinegar into a bowl with considerable amount of dishwashing liquid. Gnats are always attracted to vinegar but not in soaps. That’s why you should use dishwashing soap because they will not be able to smell it. So when they take a sip on the vinegar, it could be that they will be trapped in the soap or get poisoned and die quickly. You must be sure that you put the mixture in the place far from your abode because they are more attracted to human smell than vinegar.
