Candida albicans is the main cause of a yeast infection; it is a fungus which can always be found in the human body. An infection may start when the yeast proliferates causing uncomfortable burning and itching sensation. Fortunately, there are a hundred of ways on how to get rid of a yeast infection. And here are some of them;
Before you can get started, you must have the following; • Tea tree oil • Tampons • Garlic • Cranberry juice • Vinegar • Cheesecloth • Baking soda • Yogurt
Step 1 The simplest way to treat yeast infection is yogurt because it contains lactobacillus acidophilus which can naturally kills candida. The best way to do it is to fill the tampon with yogurt and put in a freezer. Wait until it is frozen and insert it into the vagina. The cold yogurt will help ease the burning sensation.
Step 2 Another way is to insert a peeled clove of garlic into the vagina. But be sure to wrap it with cheesecloth tied with dental floss just to have something to hold when you want it out. It could perform best when left inside for several hours as garlic can really kill candida fungus. So, you may use it overnight.
Step 3 Tea tree oil is also a good cure for yeast infection. Apply some KY jelly on the tampon just before you apply tea tree oil on it; it will stop the tampon from absorbing the whole tea tree oil. After which, insert the tampon with tea tree oil into the vagina and leave it there for long. Using this treatment overnight is advised.
Step 4 You may also make your own douche with the use of hydrogen peroxide. Mix 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with a cup of water. You may also use vinegar as alternative for hydrogen peroxide. Wash the vagina twice a day with this douche until your yeast infection yields.
Step 5 Naturally, you can lower the risk of yeast infection if you lower your vaginal pH. So, drink fresh cranberry juices everyday.
Step 6 There are also tablets sold in the market for yeast infection. You may want to buy the acidophilus tablets and take them to cure your yeast infection.
