Submitted by Paul on 05/07/2009

Step 1. Download iTunes. From the Apple website and make sure it is the newest version. Your iPod may possibly have come with a free installation CD. Your computer must meet whatever minimum requirements necessary for the CD to download and run.

Step 2. If you have the songs you want to download on your computer the search for them and then add then to the song library you want to download. You do this by going to th file menu and clicking “Add file to library” after this you select the folder with the songs and then click “OK” now the songs will all appear in the iTunes library.

Step 3.  Use a USB cable and hook up your iPod to your computer. Once this is done it will be automatically synced with your iTunes.

Step 4. Click on the iTunes icon on your computer and open it.

Step 5. You can now buy songs from the iTunes store and it will automatically go to your iPod or you can load the song you want to download onto iTunes and the download them from there. Simply highlight which songs you want and then drag them onto your iPod.

Step 6. Once your song playlist has been downloaded you should now disconnect your iPod from the computer. After this it is wise o playback the songs you downloaded too make sure they were done properly and are playing.
