Together with the Windows operating system are the built in fonts; these fonts are the most commonly used in word processing. There are times when you need a new font face which cannot be found in your PC. There are companies who make fonts and sell them online. There are so many font faces which you can download for free. All you just need is to dig a little deeper online to be able to find what type of font you are looking for. Here are some simple steps you can follow to download fonts into your computer;
Step 1
Do a search for websites which offer font downloads for free. There are a lot of them so won’t have to worry. Usually, you can find the font faces on the front pages of these websites so that you can carefully choose the type you really want to download.
Step 2
Beside or underneath the font faces displayed, there would be a download button or a link which will redirect you to another location in the internet to be able to download it. You simply have to click those links or buttons for the fonts you really want to possess.
Step 3
The download process will only take seconds to be able to finish a pack. Usually, these fonts are zipped; you don’t have to worry how to unzip them since Windows™ has built in .zip extractor. If you have WinRar, then that would make the work faster.
Step 4
If you want to use the font immediately, extract the zipped file into the “Fonts” directory in you computer. Once the fonts are extracted there, they will appear in you word procession software the next time you use them.
Step 5
If you want to install them manually, you can extract them the directory you specify and just copy and paste them into the “Fonts” directory in drive C:

If you want to remove them, you just have to delete them from the directory where they are installed.
